Este café é cultivado em Tarrazú, na Costa Rica, parte da "Área dos Santos", uma região mundialmente reconhecida nas montanhas verdejantes a sul de San José. Conhecida pela sua altitude elevada, solo vulcânico e clima fresco que garante o amadurecimento lento dos grãos.
