The dark roast gives off this huge chocolate aroma the second the bag opens, and it holds up beautifully in my cafetiere without turning bitter. I've been through three bags and it's consistently rich and smooth, honestly the closest thing to a dessert in a mug.
Pulled a shot this morning and it came out thick with a dark crema, exactly the chocolate bomb the description promises. Even as a latte the cocoa notes cut through the milk, which I wasn't expecting from a darker roast. I'll be keeping this one in the espresso rotation.
Brewed this in my cafetiere this weekend and it really is a chocolate bomb — rich, dark, and smooth without any bitter edge. The roast is deep enough for espresso but forgiving enough for a lazy French press pour.
