We have become big fans of Peruvian coffees over the last few years, and this lot stood out when we were working through samples from our friends at Raw Material.
This roast profile gives lots of chocolate and nut notes with lovely, sweet brown sugar flavours coming through. Making this super approachable and versatile across all brewing methods.
Brewed this as a pour-over this morning and the body is noticeably heavier than most Peruvians I've tried, which I loved. The roast profile really lets that sweet, nutty character through without any bitterness on the finish. Already looking forward to the next bag.
The sweetness on this one is what got me—it lingers nicely after each sip without being cloying. I've brewed it both as pour-over and in my French press, and it held up beautifully either way. Peru is quickly becoming my favorite origin, and this lot is a big reason why.
The fruity acidity on this one is really smooth, almost like a gentle sweetness that lingers after each sip. I’ve been brewing it as my daily pour-over and it’s consistently clean and bright without any bitterness. Definitely worth grabbing if you like Peruvian lots with a softer profile.
