The dark chocolate and walnut notes really come through in the cup, and it holds its body even as a 25ml short shot. Knowing the pods go straight into my home compost bin after brewing makes the morning ritual feel a little better.
I’ve tried a lot of pods that taste thin, but this one holds up even as a 35ml long shot, with that dark chocolate and walnut note coming through nicely. The fact that I can toss the used pods straight into my compost bin without guilt is a huge win for my morning routine.
The compostable pods are the reason I switched, and they brew a beautifully rich espresso with that dark chocolate note coming through clear as day. Even the short 25ml pull has a heavy body that I usually only get from much darker roasts.
